The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma will lose its fifth-largest food donor when the Tyson Foods plant closes in Ponca City next month.

Tyson Foods donates about 1.2 million pounds of meat to the food bank each year, and most of that comes from the Ponca City plant. Those donations will vanish when the plant closes this summer, said Rodney Bivens, executive director of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.
