Washington, D.C., becomes first city in U.S. to give away free female condoms to combat HIV

Washington, D.C., will become the first city in the United States to give away female condoms, The Washington Post reports.

The project will distribute 500,000 free condoms at beauty salons, convenience stores and high schools in sections of the city that are plagued with high HIV rates.
