The restaurateur, artist and unlikely TIF commissioner known as Stretch has a deal to host a show on cable channel Spike TV, according to the Kansas City Business Journal. Stretch, or as his birth certificate knows him, Jeff Rumaner, didn't elaborate on the deal.
"I can't say anything about the concept, only that I've signed a deal," Stretch told the Biz Journal. "It's a huge opportunity for me in the TV world, as well as for Kansas City."
Stretch owns Grinders and Grinders West Deli in the Crossroads. He also makes huge sculptures and throws concerts behind his restaurants. This isn't his first foray on television, showing up on Discovery Channel's Monster House, ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and Guy's Big Bite.
