Sony says they have entered the "final stages of internal testing" on a new system that would lead the company one step closer to resurrecting the PlayStation Network.

Sony spokesperson Patrick Seybold did not offer a specific date for when PSN and Qriocity services would return, but noted they had reached "an important step" towards bringing both back online following a two-week outage.
