The Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu published a story back in October announcing that Sony's PlayStation Vita wouldn't play PSOne Classics or TurboGrafx-16 games -- downloadable games jointly referred to as Game Archives in Japan -- upon its Japanese release. Along with news that PlayStation Vita memory cards will cost up to $120 comes another sobering announcement: Famitsu was dead on. When the PS Vita goes on sale in Japan on December 17, it will not support Game Archives.
