Prepare for the circus. Barnum & Bailey's has made its way into the Dwight Howard trade negotiations.
A source confirmed that the Magic are considering filing tampering charges against the Nets and another team - reportedly the Rockets - for allegedly contacting Howard recently. According to multiple reports, Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov and GM Billy King met with Howard on Thursday night - on Howard's birthday - in Miami.
Neither the Nets nor Prokhorov returned messages.
As it became obvious that any transition for the Magic center wouldn't be easy, a source told the Daily News that the Nets are closing in on top free-agent target Nene Hilario.
