The image-conscious NFL dodged a bullet with the New York Giants' win over the Green Bay Packers. If the Packers had come from behind to win, the talk today would have been about the questionable officiating by referees that seemed to favor the defending Super Bowl champions over the Giants.
During Fox's telecast, Troy Aikman, Joe Buck and ex-NFL officiating chief Mike Pereira said the zebras blew it when when they overturned the original call on the field that Green Bay's Greg Jennings fumbled the ball after a strip by the Giants' Deon Grant and changed their ruling to down by contact.
