NBC is reportedly planning to order a pilot for comedy 1600 Penn.

The network made the move after The Book of Mormon actor Josh Gad agreed to star in the project, Deadline reports.

1600 Penn, which focuses on the President and his dysfunctional family, has been developed by Modern Family director Jason Winer and Barack Obama's former speechwriter Jon Lovett.
