Simon Cowell has said that he was "disappointed" by the reaction from The Voice and American Idol to his idea of an all-star competition that also featured The X Factor USA.

The music executive, who judges The X Factor USA, had tweeted earlier this month that he was interested in a showdown between the winners of all three reality shows.
