A 15-year-old Brooklyn student was arrested for threatening on Facebook to blow up his high school, police said Friday.
The teen, whose name is being withheld because he is a minor, was arrested at his home Thursday and charged as a juvenile with making terrorist threats against Lincoln High School in Coney Island, police said. His case will be referred to Family Court, police said.
A source said the student made the threats — which also included bring a gun to school — earlier in the week. A friend told the teen that making such comments would get him into trouble, the source said.
But police said counter terrorism investigators found no evidence that he was in possession of bomb-making materials.
